MaryJean and the John Deere
MaryJean and I met in high school and we remained friends all through college at YSU. We would scour the thrift stores together for vintage clothes, beginning in 1977 when you could get everything you could stuff into a paper bag at St Vincent de Paul for $1. I took my first photograph of MaryJean in 1978 after picking her up late on a September afternoon and we found a John Deere parked on a corner in Coitsville on Route 616. We had so much fun taking photos in cemeteries, abandoned buildings and sewers.
